Coachella 2014: Lacoste creates a celeb-filled oasis in the desert

The event: The two-day Lacoste beautiful desert pool party at a private residence in Thermal Saturday and Sunday during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’s first weekend.

The scene: People dressed in swimsuits and coverups waited outside for more than an hour for a chance to get into the party. The front of the line was mobbed with people trying to drop names to gain entrance.

The road into the sprawling estate, which had a large pond and a pool, was lined with cutouts of green Lacoste crocodiles and containers of ice cold Evian water. To one side there was a bounce house with a professional photographer for party shots.

Just oustide the main house, guests swam in the pool, sipped cocktails and ate popsicles infused with Patron tequila, In case guests felt like shopping, Lacoste set up a pop-up shop with a selection of clothing and accessories. Guests could also get a Lacoste crocodile faux tattoo or design a pair of shoes at a DIY station hosted by P.S. I Made This.

People who needed a break from playing air hockey or miniature golf could grab a crepe from a food truck or indulge in a freshly cracked coconut.

The crowd: Attendees included Kendall Jenner, Chord Overstreet, Joe Jonas, Katharine McPhee, Kellan Lutz and more. Zoe Kravitz and Lolawolf took over the DJ booth for some tunes. Katy Perry, Steven Tyler, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Ryan Phillippe and Lana Del Rey all made appearances during the party’s first day Saturday.
